Club News
On 21st January 2007 the club sent a number of students for grading at Petersfield. Congratulations to Dominic (Green Belt), Alex (Blue Belt) and Sharna Murphy (1st Dan Black belt ZJF/BZJFA).
Unfortunately Sarah, one of our senior students, who was preparing for her Blue belt grading was unable to attend as she broke her leg the week before. All the members at the club wish her the best and look forward to seeing her back on the mat in the future.
Once again the Club has been successful in being awarded a cheque for £300 by Bognor Town Council for the 2006/07 year towards equipment costs.
As members will be aware we have decided to change the club training times. From Monday 23/10/06 the new times will be 7 to 8.45 pm All grades and 8.45 to 10pm by invitation. We do have room for more students and anyone is welcome to come along.
The Zen Judo Spring Budo course will be held at Bognor Regis Clubs dojo on 5th and 6th May 2007, keep an eye out on the main zenjudo.co.uk website for information and announcements.
We now have copies of Sensei Brian Bagot's book Zen Judo - A Way of Life available in paper back at £10.95 each + P&P. This is the revised edition
and has sections on shimewaza (strangles) and kansetsuwaza (joint locking), as well as the complete syllabus from White to Black belt.
