As the 15th December was the last training session this year, the instructors and students took part in the traditional games session, which after the usual bending of the rules was declared a draw.
It was good once again to have John Tomlinson back on the mat after a number of months away due to work pressures.

The evening was also marked by the award of not one but two McCarthy Student of The Year certificates.
 These are presented to those students the Instructors feel have consistently demonstrated the Zen Judo Spirit over the past year.

 This year they were awarded to Jon Taylor who has demonstrated both determination and commitment after returned to the mat after having a pace maker fitted and to Yvonne Robertson for both her support of students on the mat and her long running commitment to The Zen Judo Family and The Bognor Regis Club.

After posing for the photos the evening was rounded of with some food and a raffle.
We will be back on 5th January 2009 at the earlier time of 6.30 to 7.30pm for Juniors and 7.30 to 8.45pm Juniors / Seniors.

On 14th April Dave O'Leary was awarded his yellow belt by Chief Instructor John Robertson.
Dave has been a member of the Bognor Club since January 2007 and has regularly made the trip over to Bognor from his home town of Portsmouth to train. Unfortunately due to work commitments he has had to move away from the area and won't be within traveling distance of the club anymore. His regular attendance and commitment to training has been obvious and he will be missed at the Club.
